transfer bruins in business workshop  |  fall quarter

The UCLA Undergraduate Businesses Society (UBS) Financial Services Committee is excited to host the annual UCLA Finance Transfer Night. Join us for an exciting event where we bring together UCLA transfer students who broke into Finance careers in top companies like JP Morgan, Jefferies, TAP Advisors, and BNY to share their experiences breaking into the industry.

This event is for transfer students that are eager to break into roles such as Investment Banking, Sales & Trading and Corporate Finance. It’s a great opportunity to connect with senior students for mentorship and like-minded transfer students who want to break into the industry.

Excel and Financial Modeling Workshop  |  WINTER QUARTER

The Undergraduate Business Society’s Excel and Financial Modeling Workshop is designed to give UCLA’s undergraduate students an edge on the competition by equipping them with technical skills used in many entry level finance positions. The workshop entails weekly sessions where students are taught various Excel skills and shortcuts commonly used in finance positions. The workshop begins with a brief review of basic accounting practices and principles, before moving into the modeling component. The body of the workshop provides a thorough rundown of Excel functions and shortcuts, and culminates with the creation of a basic three-statement financial model. Each workshop session is run by senior UBS Board members who have worked in various finance positions.
