Professor Simon is an Assistant Adjunct Professor and Co-Founder of the Benjamin Graham Value Investing Program in UCLA's Department of Economics. With a distinguished career spanning wealth management, public service, and education, he offers unparalleled insights into the world of investing and leadership.

Professor Simon is also a Partner Emeritus at Simon Quick Advisors, managing $3.7 billion in assets, and previously co-chaired William E. Simon & Sons, LLC. Notably, he served as Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York and was the 2002 Republican gubernatorial nominee in California.

About the Case Competition: This case will allow you to get hands on experience in sell-side banking through financial modeling, due diligence, and strategic analysis. Teams of up to 4 members will choose from select companies and create a presentation deck that outlines the potential sale of the business. All participants must be UCLA undergraduate students in the class of 2027 or 2028. This information session will be going into detail about the case competition, providing insight on sell-side advisory, and hosting a panel with J.P. Morgan's bankers with open networking afterwards.
